Paul West
Paul West is the proud owner and heart and soul of Scalp Envy SMP Studio. As you can see, he specialises in creating restorative hair tattoos for those suffering from alopecia, thinning hair, receding hairline and scars that need concealing.
Paul’s journey began in 2021 when he was looking for a solution to his own male pattern baldness. After seeing an advert for an SMP clinic, he scheduled his first session and can honestly say he never looked back.
He decided he wanted to help people the way SMP (What is SMP) helped him and booked a training course with one of the world’s best SMP training providers. Now fully certified, insured and licensed, he is committed to continually improving his skills.
Paul is a proud family man who is honest, meticulous and extremely passionate about his work. There is no better person to consult, advise and treat you, having gone through all the emotions himself that are connected to hair loss.

The Studio
Scalp Envy SMP Studio is located in the heart of Blackwood High Street in the Wellbeing Centre. Paul feels very fortunate that he shares the building with multi-talented people who all share the same goal as him; to promote positivity and overall well-being.
Scalp Envy is Caerphilly’s County Borough’s first clinically approved SMP studio.
Consultations are provided in a variety of formats to meet the needs of the client, including WhatsApp, Messenger and face-to-face meetings.
