Professional Scalp Micropigmentation Services
Scalp Micropigmentation is the number one hair loss treatment in the UK with our clinic based near Cardiff. It is also known as hair micropigmentation or a hair tattoo and is a non-surgical treatment that uses small needles to deposit ink pigment into the scalp.
The result creates the appearance of natural hair follicles giving people with complete scalp hair loss the appearance of a full head of hair that has been shaved. For those suffering from thinning, it restores the look of full, thick hair.
SMP (What is SMP) results are evident from the first session and can completely change your life if your self-esteem is lacking from hair loss. If you are starting to thin, recede, or become completely bald, we can change that, together.
What can SMP treat?
SMP can be used to restore a natural-looking crown and hairline. This is created by adding microdots of ink into the scalp, giving the illusion of real hair follicles. This treatment is suitable for both men and women who suffer with pattern-baldness, also known as pattern hair loss.
A density treatment is suitable for both men and women. It can be applied on the scalp to thinning hair and bald patches making it look fuller and thicker. The hair can be kept long or shaven and we will place pigment in-between the hair follicles which will make it appear fuller and less receded.
The perfect solution for the many forms, it can be disguised by placing pigment into the scalp where hair loss has taken place, giving the appearance of a full shaved head of hair. Also known as a hair tattoo or cosmetic tattoo, this non-intrusive treatment covers all forms of alopecia.
Conceal scars and burns by having micro dots placed into the tissue which helps blend into the existing hair. Whether you have had a failed hair transplantation, a burn or its from an operation, scarring on the scalp has a tendency to really stand out and draw attention immediately to it.

Scalp Micropigmentation is a permanent hair loss solution but does require touch-ups every few years to keep it looking fresh. The treatment involves placing micro dots of pigment into the scalp to replicate the look of natural hair follicles. Permanent cosmetic pigments are used for SMP.
The procedure is typically pain-free and doesn’t hurt like a traditional tattoo, although, it can be slightly uncomfortable near the hairline. A traditional tattoo goes through 7 layers of skin whilst hair tattoos only go down 2 layers (dermis), which makes it less painful.
